Great Location

"This is a perfect location if you are visiting Orcas Island for the first time. The facilities are clean, modern, and super comfortable. It is right on the main thoroughfare of the town and you can walk to excellent restaurants and shops. The bookstore was my favorite and also Brown Bear Bakery. When we were there families came for the July 3 festival (short public fireworks show but no nuckleheads setting off their own, parade, fun run, food trucks) and there were also a couple weddings happening at the church across the street. It was great to chat with the many groups of friendly people out for these events and get advice for places/activities. That being said our room was right next to the common room and if groups were in there (bridesmaids or big families) it was kind of loud so if you want a quieter room ask for one not by the common room. I also wish there was a code and a physical key for the room. Just having a code was stressful for me because I was worried I would forget it so I always had to have my phone and that just wasn't to my liking, but I can see how some people might prefer the code.

You are correct, we discovered there was a small family group staying to attend a wedding and did take advantage of gathering in the Living Room. We do aim to provide a relaxing, peacefull atmosphere and do have staff on call if there are situations that need to be addressed, or if you have an issue with your access code. We hope you will return to Orcas Island and stay with us in the future.

"Property exceeded my expectations. One of the nicer places I’ve ever stayed it. Pleasant from check in to check out. Charming, spacious, clean, modern rooms with a great view of the main strip. Common area stocked with quality snacks. Only minor issue was water temperature in the shower, maxed out at lukewarm. Will be tough to follow this stay!

"This is a hidden gem. It's in the main, and very walkable, area of Orcas Island in Eastsound. This is that part of the island you want to stay in. There are shops, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and more within walking distance. The location can't be beat. Not only is it close to everything, but you can see the water from the windows as you're just across the street from it. And that's just where it begins. They have free, easy, onsite parking in the garage under the building. There are stairs if you want to get your steps in but also an elevator that accesses all floors. The building also houses a realty company which is really the most visible signage on the space. But just know you're in the right place. The room we stayed in was perfect (Johns Island - all rooms named after the nearby islands). It was closest to the water. But the way the building is setup, it's angled so every room has a window towards the water. The rooms themselves are fantastic. Really clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and had plenty of counter space. The tiles were also heated! They had plenty of space to hold bags and clothing with hanging space and drawers. There was a fireplace which was perfectly cozy when it got chilly at night. There is a couch (which pulls out if you need it), desk, and a window seat to look at that water! In the room, there is a small fridge and a Nespresso machine with pods. They also had tea, creamer, and sweetener in the room. As if that's not enough, there is also a shared space that has a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, another Nespresso machine, table/chairs and more window seating. It's all stocked with snacks! They had chips, popcorn, teas/coffees, granola, oats, yogurt, milk, juices, and personal sized icecream. I can't say enough great things about my experience. I hope to come back soon.

Two nights of luxury

"After 5 nights of bike-packing all over the islands, what a pleasure to land at the Village Inn. We really appreciated the communal kitchen so we could eat takeout in the room off of real plates and get refills on chilled water. The contactless arrangement worked well, even when we needed extra bedding. Highly recommend.

"The room was very comfortable and view wonderful. Close to shops and restaurants! Because I am disabled, this room allowed me to move around and the walk-in shower was especially great. I slept on couch which was more comfortable than most beds. . . level made it easy to get in and out. Parking in garage was a bonus.

"We stayed in John room this time at the Village Inn, the view was lovely, in fact all the rooms probably have nice views, but we especially like John and Canoe. Orcas is a great quick getaway. The Village Inn is in walking distance to restaurants and shops. The perfect spot when you want to go and unwind.
