About the Owners
John and Mariah Dunning have been full-time island residents for more than 26 years, each having historical connections to Orcas Island since childhood. Both have been business owners and entrepreneurs. Together, they own/operate the Windermere Real Estate office in Eastsound, the largest real estate office on Orcas Island, as well as NW Island Escapes, the largest vacation rental management company in the San Juan Islands.
Their most recent project has been the construction and creation of the Village Inn at Eastsound. The Village Inn is the opportunity for John and Mariah to create a unique space for people and their pets to enjoy Orcas Island. With innovative and sustainable materials, the Village Inn represents John and Mariah’s philosophy of the importance of being good stewards in this world and making a space for enjoying the best that Orcas Island has to offer.
